Ingredients

  • Fresh mint leaves – 1 cup
  • Cilantro leaves – ½ cup
  • Green chilli – 1 no.
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Ice cubes – 2 cubes
  • Water – 2 tbsp
  • Chickpea flour – 1 cup
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil – 1 tbsp + frying
  • Black Salt - sprinkle

Method

  • Firstly, take a grinder add mint leaves, cilantro leaves, green chilli, salt as per taste, ice cubes to maintain green color, water. Cover the lid and grind it well. After grind, take a bowl and strain it nicely.
  • For dough, take a bowl, add chickpea flour, asafoetida, salt, oil and mix it well. Further add the mint puree into it and mix it properly. Add water if required.
  • Now, heat up the oil in a wok, after heating the oil take 1 tbsp of hot oil and pour into the batter and mix it nicely.
  • Take little dough and fill the sev presser with it then tighten the lid. Now keep rotating the presser so that the sev batter falls in oil, but handle this very carefully on a medium flame.
  • When they turn golden brown take on a tissue paper and sprinkle some black salt for better taste and serve.
