Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Water – as required
  • Oil – for frying
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Saffron Water – 1 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Almond slits – as required
  • Clarified butter (ghee) – 1 tbsp

Method

  • Take a bowl add gram flour and water and make a semi thick batter for boondi.
  • Now heat the oil, put the besan batter into the strainer and tab like this.
  • Boondi will come out and will be round shape, it will set. Cook on low to medium flame until it becomes crisp. Boondi is ready and take them out.
  • Further, take a pan add sugar, water and stir it till sugar melts. Sugar syrup is ready.
  • Add cardamom powder and mix it well. After that add fry boondi and mix it properly.
  • Then add almond slits and mix it. Turn off the flame and keep it a side for cool.
  • After that add clarified butter and make a boondi laddu. Boondi Laddu is ready to serve.
