Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Water – 1 cup + 1 cup (for further process)
  • Oil – ½ cup
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Papad khar (alkaline salt )– ½ tsp
  • Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Oil – for fry

Method

  • First, take a bowl add water, oil, salt, asafetida and mix it. Make white fluffy liquid.
  • After that add gram flour and mix it well then add half cup of water and make a papdi mixture.
  • The dough will be slightly sticky, grease the hand with oil and combine all dough.
  • Further, heat the oil to medium flame. Grease the grater or papdi jhara with oil from both the sides. Then slightly soak your hand in water.
  • Place dough in papdi jhara and spread with your hand palm. Flip over and fry papdi on medium-low flame.
  • Drain crispy papdi on a plate and repeat making more papdi with the remaining dough.
  • Serve it with fried green chillies and sliced onions.
