Bajra na rotla is a bread made of pearl millet flour, is a traditional Guajarati bread. This healthy bajari no rotlo can be served in a Gujarati meal as well as a snack with butter and jaggery. Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Pearl millet flour (bajri flour) 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Ghee for greasing

Method

  • Take a clay tawa on stove and heat it.
  • Pour water in a bowl.
  • Add salt as required and let it dissolve.
  • Add Pearl millet flour in it and mix it well.
  • Add little bit of water in it and make a dough.
  • Knead the dough properly with water.
  • Knead the dough as much as you can to make it smooth.
  • Now make a ball and take it on hand.
  • Wet your hand with water and make round shape.
  • Dab it slowly.
  • Smear the water on outer border and press on outer line.
  • Make it flat with your hands.
  • Now it is ready to cook.
  • Put it on tawa.
  • Cook for some time on high flame.
  • Then turn it.
  • Check and cook properly.
  • Turn it again and cook.
  • Bajra roti is now ready.
  • Grease it with ghee.
  • Now it is ready to serve.
