Ingredients

    For dough:
  • 1 ½ cup – Maida
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp – Oil
  • For stuffing:
  • Water as required
  • 1 cup – Grated cabbage (कद्दूकस गोभी)
  • ½ cup – Chopped capsicum (कटी शिमला मिर्च)
  • 1 cup – Grated carrot (कद्दूकस गाजर)
  • 1 tbsp – Chopped green chillis (कटी हरी मिर्च)
  • 1 tbsp – Ginger paste (अदरक का पेस्ट)
  • 1 tbsp – Black pepper powder (काली मिर्च पाउडर)
  • Salt to taste (नमक स्वाद अनुसार)
  • A handful cilantro leaves (धनिया पत्ते)

Method

  • Take maida in a bowl, then add salt and oil, and mix them. Now add water and knead the dough.
  • Here, the dough is ready. Now cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes. In the meantime, we can prepare the stuffing. For that, take cabbage in a bowl and add capsicum, carrot, green chili, ginger paste, black pepper powder, and cilantro leaves. Mix everything together.
  • After resting the dough, knead it once more. Now take a portion of the dough, shape it into a ball, and roll it out into small-sized puris. Repeat this process for the rest of the dough.
  • Next, take one puri that you prepared earlier, add ½ tablespoon of stuffing, and shape it like a momo. Continue this process to prepare all the momos.
  • To steam the momos, take a steamer and add water to it. Place the steamer plate on top. Grease the plate with oil, then arrange the momos on the plate.
  • Apply oil on the momos, cover with the lid, and steam them for 10 minutes on medium flame. After 10 minutes, turn off the flame, and your veg momos are ready to serve!
