Veg Hakka Noodles is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of stir fried noodles, veggies and sauces. It is hugely popular in Indian restaurants and street stalls. It is usually eaten on its own or with a side of Manchurian or chilli dishes like Gobi Manchurian or chilli paneer. Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

    For Boil Noodles :
  • Water for boiling
  • Oil – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Noodles – 1 packet
  • For Hakka Noodels :
  • Oil as required
  • Onion – 1/3 cup
  • Chopped garlic cloves – 3 to 4 nos
  • Cabbage – 1/3 cup
  • Capsicum – 1/3 cup
  • Carrot – 1/3 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Light soy sauce – ½ tsp
  • Green chilli sauce – ¼ tsp
  • Vinegar – ½ tsp
  • Maggi masala – 2 tsp

Method

    For Boil Noodles :
  • Take a big pan add water for boiling, oil, salt to taste and noodles. Cover it and boiled it.
  • Now, open & stir it once. Then strain the noodles in a bowl and remove extra water from it. Rinse them will cold water immediately to stop the cooking process & drizzle some oil over them to prevent them from sticking to each other.
  • Transfer in a bowl.
  • For Hakka Noodels :
  • Take a pan, add oil as per required, onion and sauté till they turn into light pink in color. Flame should be on medium. Add chopped garlic, cabbage, capsicum, carrot and now mix all veggies properly. Then add salt as per taste and mix it well.
  • Now add light soy sauce, green chilli sauce and then stir and mix it well. Further add vinegar and mix it well. Then add boil noodles and mix everything properly.
  • Then add maggi masala and mix it well.
  • Stir & mix everything well & cook for one to one & a half minute.
  • Veg hakka noodles are ready, garnish with some finely chopped spring onion greens.
