Ingredients

• Toor dal 1 cup

• Peanut 8-9

• Salt as per taste.

• Turmeric powder ½ tsp.

• Red chilli powder 1 ½ tsp.

• Oil 1 tbsp.

• Dry red chilli 2

• Cinnamon 1

• Cloves 3

• Mustard seeds 1 tsp.

• Cumin seeds ½ tsp.

• Asafoetida ¼ tsp.

• Ginger ½ inch

• Green chilli 1

• Curry leaves 2 strands

• Jaggery 1 tbsp.

• Fresh cilantro 1 tbsp.

• Chopped Tomato ¾ cup

• Lemon juice 2 tbsp. or Kokum 3-4

Method

• Take toor dal in a bowl

• Wash it properly and soak it for 20 minutes

• After 20 minutes add toor dal in pressure cooker

• Add peanut and 4 cup water

• Cover the lid till 3 whistles

• Open the lid and mash it with wooden whisker

• Add 1 cup lukewarm water

• Add curry leaves, green chilli, jaggery, ginger, chopped cilantro, chopped tomato

• Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, kokum

• Stir dal continuously

• Boil it for 10 minutes

• For tempering heat oil in a pan

• Add mustard seeds, dry red chilli, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, and asafoetida.

• Add tempering to dal and boil it for 2-3 minutes more

• Add chopped cilantro

• Dal is ready to serve
