Palak Paratha
Description
Palak Paratha is a healthy mouth-watering unleavened Indian flatbread that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ingredients
- Boil spinach - 100 grams / 2 bunch
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Chopped green chilies – 4 to 5
- Garlic – 5 to 6
- Cilantro leaves – 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- For dough:
- Wheat flour – 2 cup
- Carom seeds – 1 tsp
- Sesame seeds – 3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Curd – 1 tbsp
- Palak puree – ½ cup
- Water as required
Method
- Boil spinach for 30 second into water.
- When its boil proper, immediately transfer into cold water helps to stop its cooking process.
- Now, take a mixture jar add boiled spinach, garlic, green chilies, ginger, cilantro leaves, cumin seeds and grind all ingredients into smooth puree.
- Take a bowl, add wheat flour, carom seeds, sesame seeds, salt to taste, curd and palak puree, water and mix it well, and make a dough.
- Knead it properly for softness. And cover it for 10 minutes
- After resting, add oil on it and knead the dough once again.
- Make a small dough ball, sprinkle some flour & roll it with rolling pin.
- Spread ghee on paratha, and sprinkle flour on it and fold it and again apply ghee and spinkle some flour on it and fold it with another side.
- Ghee & dry flour helps to separate paratha layer.
- Again roll the paratha for get the proper shape.
- Turn wok on medium flame, Put the uncooked paratha over the hot tawa.
- Cook it briefly from one side until light golden brown
- Now apply ghee, cook on both the sides until it starts to fluff
- Paratha turns nice golden brown in colour
- Ready to serve.
