Description

Having a monotonous life makes you feel little boring sometimes. Same thing happens in food routine too. To rescue over daily rotis and chapattis there is an option for missi roti. It is made with the combo of wheat flour and gram flour. Missi roti comes from the land of Punjab and to make it tastier some onions and chillies can be added. This roti goes well with simple pickle, dal or curd but serving the healthy missi roti with any subzi or curry gives a satisfactory meal. So, Desi Gabbar gets you a delicious recipe of missi roti.

Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

• Wheat flour 1 cup

• Gram flour 1 cup

• Ajwain Seeds ½ tsp.

• Red chilli powder 1 tsp.

• chopped cilantro ¼ cup

• Turmeric powder ½ tsp.

• Salt to taste

• Oil 2 tbsp.

• Ghee 2 tbsp.

• Chopped onion ½ cup

• Chopped Green chillies 2 tbsp.

• Ginger garlic paste ½ tsp.

• Kasoori methi 1 tsp.

• Amchur powder/ raw mango powder ½ tsp.

• Water as required

Method

• Add gram flour.

• Add wheat flour.

• Add ajwain seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, kasoori methi, salt, ginger garlic paste and chopped cilantro.

• Mix the ingredients together.

• Add some oil and mix it evenly.

• Now add water and knead the dough.

• Add some more oil and knead it properly.

• Keep it aside to rest for some time.

• In a bowl add the onion, green chillies, red chilli powder, salt and amchur powder.

• Mix all this ingredients properly.

• Make small round balls out of the dough.

• Flatten them with rolling pin.

• Sprinkle the onion mixture and roll it again.

• Heat a pan and roast the rotis.

• Apply ghee and roast it properly.

• Missi Rotis are ready to be served.
