Description

Ingredients

    For Batter:
  • 2 cup – Garam masala
  • 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp – Red chilli powder
  • 1 ½ tsp – Salt
  • For stuffing:
  • 1 tbsp – Oil
  • 1 tsp – Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
  • 7-8 nos. – Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp – Asafoetida
  • 2 no. – Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp – Ginger chilli paste
  • 1 ½ tsp – Turmeric powder
  • 7-8 nos. – Boil potatoes
  • 1 tbsp – Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp – Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp – Garam masala
  • 7-8 leaves – Mint leaves
  • 1 tsp – Dry mango powder
  • 1 tbsp - Salt
  • 1 tbsp – Cilantro leaves

Method

  • Take gram flour in a bowl, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix it once.
  • Add water step by step for proper consistency. Mix it nicely. So here, batter is ready. You can see how fluffy batter is.
  • Now rest it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Heat up the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida. Then add green chilli, ginger chilli paste and mix it once.
  • Add turmeric powder and mix it once. After that add boil potatoes. Mash the potatoes nicely. You can also grate the potatoes here. Mix the potatoes properly.
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala. Further add mint leaves, dry mango powder and salt.
  • Further add mint leaves, dry mango powder and salt. Mix the everything properly to get smooth texture of stuffing.
  • Now turn off the flame and add cilantro leaves. Mix it once. Take stuffing in a plate, let them cool down. Now make vada.
  • Here you can make round shape or else you can flatten it slightly. Same way prepares all vada.
  • Heat up the oil in a pan, whisk the batter once. Now deep the vada into the batter and drop in the pan.
  • Coat the vada properly from both the sides. Fry until its get light golden brown in color. Flip from the another side and make vada light golden brown.
  • Take vada in a plate. Take one bread, cut from the middle and on top spread green chutney and on bottom apply garlic chutney.
  • Now put vada and fry green chilli ans slightly press the bread from the top.
