Description

Bhel is a very popular street food snack made with puffed rice, puri, boiled potatoes, onions, various chutneys, herbs, ground spices and sev (fried gram flour vermicelli). Ingredients

    For coriander chutney :
  • Cilantro leaves – 1 cup
  • Green chillies – 2 to 3 nos
  • Peanuts – 1 tsp
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Mint leaves – 5 to 6
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • For Bhel :
  • Masala puffed rice – 1 bowl
  • Sev – ½ cup
  • Masala peanuts – 2 tbsp
  • Chana dal as required
  • Boil potato – ½ cup
  • Chopped onion – ½ cup
  • Chopped tomato – ½ cup
  • Masala puri as required
  • Sweet chutney as required
  • Cilantro chutney as required
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Cilantro leaves as required

Method

    For coriander chutney :
  • Take a mixing jar add cilantro leaves, green chillies, peanuts, ginger, mint leaves, salt to taste, and lemon juice.
  • Grind it nicely. Coriander chutney is ready.
  • For Bhel :
  • Take a mixing bowl add all the remaining ingredients and mix everything properly.
  • Serve immediately.
  • *Yummy tips to enjoy Bhel: Serve bhel immediately in individual bowls or plates. Top up with some sev, puri or papdi and more coriander leaves if you want.
