Description

Shakarpara is the most popular Indian snack also known as shankarpali. It requires very few ingredients and can be prepared at home very easily. Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Milk – ¼ cup
  • Grounded sugar – ½ cup
  • Maida – 2 cup (250 grams)
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Melted ghee – ¼ cup

Method

  • • Take a pan, add milk and add grounded sugar, and cook on low flame. Do not boil and mix well.
  • Now turn off the flame and keep it aside for cool.
  • Take maida in a bowl, add cardamom powder, salt.
  • Add melted ghee into flour, and mix it well.
  • Now add the mixture of milk and sugar, and make a soft dough
  • Cover the dough and rest it for 30-35 minutes.
  • After resting, knead the dough once again, and divide into two parts.
  • Roll it with a rolling pin and make round shape
  • Now cut the sides with the help of knife and now, cut it into a diamond shape
  • Heat oil in a wok, and fry it on medium to low flame. Cook till they turns into golden brown from both the sides.
