Stuffed Mooli Paratha
Description
Mooli paratha is a popular Punjabi whole wheat flatbread made with unleavened dough and filled with spiced grated radish stuffing. Ingredients
- Wheat flour – 1.5 cup
- Water as required
- Radish – 2 nos (grated)
- Oil – for kneading dough
- Ginger – ½ inch piece (grated)
- Coriander powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – 2 pinch
- Mango powder – less than ¼ tsp
- Salt – ¼ tsp (as per taste)
- Green chilli – 1 nos (finely chopped)
- Garam Masala – less than ¼ tsp
- Cilantro – 1 tsp (finely chopped)
Method
- Take wheat flour, and add salt.
- Add little water at a time to knead dough properly.
- Pour some oil on the top and then knead the dough again.
- Cover the dough and rest it for 15 – 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare stuffing we have grated radish.
- Now, add garam masala, red chilli powder, mango powder, coriander powder, ginger, salt, green chilli and green coriander and mix it well.
- Knead dough again after resting.
- First, take little amount of dough (medium size) and divide into two parts.
- Dust one ball with dry flour and roll it thinly.
- Same way prepares other chapatti.
- Now, put 3 to 4 tsp stuffing on the paratha.
- Place the second paratha on the top and press it gently with your hand.
- Sprinkle some flour on the paratha and roll it again with rolling pin
- Put paratha in the tawa.
- Flip the side once it gets roasted from beneath and spread some oil on this side.
- Spread oil on the other side as well
- Press the paratha and roast until gets brown spots on both sides.
- Take the paratha out.
