Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Puffed rice – 1 bowl
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Peanuts – ¼ cup
  • Gram dal – 2 tbsp
  • Cashew – 10 halves
  • Dry coconut slice – 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies – 2 to 3
  • Curry leaves – 6 to 7
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp

Method

  • Take a pan, add puffed rice and dry roast on medium flame and transfer in a bowl.
  • Take another pan add oil, peanuts and roast on low flame. Add gram dal, cashew and roast them on low flame.
  • Now add dry coconut slice and roast on low flame. Further add green chilies, curry leaves and sauté it. Add salt as per taste.
  • Then add turmeric powder and sauté on low flame. Further add roasted puffed rice. Mix it gently and make sure they do not break.
  • Add sugar and mix it well.
  • Crispy Poha Chivda is ready to serve.
