Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Moong Dal - 2 cup
  • Water – 2 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 cup
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Clarified butter (Ghee) – 2 tbsp
  • Fresh coconut – ½ cup (sliced)
  • Cashewnut – 9-10

Method

  • Take a pan, add moong dal and roast it for 10-12 minutes.
  • Now, take a pan add water cook it for 5 minutes on medium heat flame. Add jaggery and stir it till jaggery dissolve in water and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Now add clarified butter (ghee) in a wok, then add fresh coconut and cook coconut till they turn into brown in colour.
  • Now afterwards add cashewnuts, and cook them till they turns into light brown in colour.
  • Then, add jaggery water in a pan, and stir it for 2-3 minutes. Add moong mixture and cook they gets thicker.
  • Then, add milk, cardamom powder and cook for 2 minutes. In that, add roasted coconut, roasted cashewnut, cardamom powder and mix everything properly.
  • Pour some clarified butter on it and mix it properly. Cook it for 4-5 minutes.
  • Ready to serve.
