Ingredients & Method

Ingredients

  • Rice – 3 cup
  • Moong Dal – ¼ cup
  • Urad Dal – ¼ cup
  • Chana Dal – ¼ cup
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp
  • Water – 2 cup
  • Curd – 2 tsp
  • Bottle gourd – 1
  • Carrot – 2
  • Crushed green peas – 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Green chilli paste – 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Carom seeds – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Fenugreek leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Fruit salt – 1 tsp
  • Sugar – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Asafotida – ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds – ½ tsp
  • Dry red chilli – 1

Method

  • Take a bowl, add rice, moong dal, urad dal, chana dal, fenugreek seeds & mix it well.
  • Now add water, and wash it properly and remove water from it.
  • Add water for soak, and rest it for 3 hours, now take a mixture jar, add mixture in it and curd then grind it properly.
  • After grind, take them in a bowl.
  • Then, take a bottle gourd cut it into half, then pill of the skin from bottle gourd and carrot.
  • Now, grated them one by one, add grated vegetables into the mixture.
  • Add crushed green peas, garlic paste, green chilli paste, coriander powder, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt to taste, some fresh cilantro leaves, fenugreek leaves and mix it well.
  • Then, add fruit salt and pour little water on it and mix it properly and then lastly add sugar.
  • Now, take a pan add oil in it, then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, some sesame seeds, and dry red chilli.
  • Then, add ready batter in it and spread it gently.
  • Cover it & cook on low to medium flame for 10 minutes.
  • Turn the other side & add oil on it.
  • Again cover it & cook on low to medium flame for 10 minutes.
  • Now, open it and take them out and cut into pieces.
  • Lastly garnished with cilantro leaves and served with hot Tea.
