Description
Basically a sweet and savoury spicy snack or mixture recipe prepared from crunchy cornflakes. it can be prepared as Diwali snacks or as a munching snack for evening tea. compared to traditional Kerala or Bombay mixture recipe which is prepared from besan, it is a healthy snack from corn flakes. Ingredients
- Corn flakes – 2 cups
- Salt to taste
- Sugar – 1tbsp Seasoning mix
- Salt to taste
- Sugar – 1tbsp
- Red Chilli Powder – 1tbsp
- Dried Mango Powder – ½ tsp For Tempering
- Oil – 2tbsp
- Sprigs Curry leaves – 3-4 no.
- Cashew Nuts – ½ cup
- Peanuts – ⅓ cup
- Coconut Flakes – ⅓ cup
- Raisins - ⅓ cup Final Seasoning
- Dried mango powder - ½ tsp
- Sugar – ½ tsp
- black pepper crushed – ¼ tsp
Method
- In a kadai dry toast the corn flakes for a minute and then add salt and sugar. Let it melt and coat the corn flakes.
- Now in another bowl add salt, sugar, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and mix it properly, add it to the corn flakes and keep on tossing it until well coated.
- Remove in a bowl and keep aside.
- In same kadai add oil heat it and add curry leaves, cashew nuts, peanuts, coconut flakes, raisins, and saute it for 2 minutes.
- Now add the corn flakes mixture in it and mix well.
- Lastly, add sugar and mix it properly.
