Description

Authentic and traditional wheat flour-based tasty ladoo recipe loaded with ghee, dry fruits and jaggery. It is traditionally prepared during the Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri and Diwali season and is typically served with friends and family. Ingredients

  • Coarse wheat flour – 2 cup
  • Clarified butter (ghee) – ½ cup
  • Luke warm water as required
  • Raisin – 1 tsp
  • Chopped cashew – 1 tsp
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder – 1 tsp
  • Jaggery – 250 gram
  • Poppy seeds to coat
  • Almonds

Method

  • In a bowl, take wheat flour (coarse), clarified butter (ghee), now crumble and mix well making sure the flour is moist.
  • Now add water as required and start to knead the dough. Knead to a smooth and tight dough. And cover for 10 minutes.
  • Then, knead it again and divide them into two parts. Now take a one dough ball and roll it with rolling pin and keep it a side.
  • Now put bhakhari on tava and cook from both the sides. Now turn the other side. Take them into a plate.
  • Crumble them into jar and grind to a coarse powder.
  • Now, take a pan add clarified butter (ghee), jaggery and mix well. Stir continuously till jaggery melts with ghee.
  • Add raisin, cashew, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix everything properly.
  • Now, add ladoo mixture into it and mix it well. Transfer in a bowl. Then make medium size ladoos and coat with poppy seeds and keep it in a plate.
  • Same way prepare other ladoo and garnish with almond.
  • Delicious Churma Ladoo is ready to serve.
